Land Rover Evoque
Initially a concept car, Land Rover decided to turn the glitzy concept into a production model. Its visual appeal is second to none and brings a sense of occasion that other compact SUVs lack. Add its appealing price tag and you've got a winner in its class.
Land Rover have introduced a 9-speed gearbox with the latest revision which does a fantastic job of improving the fuel economy of the Evoque, which helps reduce CO2 emissions.
Land Rover Defender
The Defender is as close as you'll ever come to a 4x4 that's truly built for tackling rough terrain such as jungles and deserts. It's a role no other 4x4 can perform better at, and because of this it does a horrible job at being a day-to-day vehicle.
Anyone who's used to driving a modern car will feel nervous handling the Defender because of its incredibly light steering. It radiates unpredicatability and is best suited for real Defender fans. If you want a true 4x4 and have a real need for one, the Defender is your best option.
Land Rover Discovery Sport
The Discovery Sport has plenty of handling finesse and style. With its good on-road and off-road manners, it makes for a great family SUV. It also has seating available for 7 people and the first two rows of seats sit fairly high which gives you good outward vision.
There are a wide range of optional extras that are standard on the more expensive variants. Rain-sensing wipers, power-folding heated mirrors and dual-zone climate control are just some of the features on offer. The practicality of the Discovery Sport makes it a tough competitor in its class.
Land Rover Discovery
Land Rover have created an SUV that drives comfortably and effortlessly on roads and does what it needs to when driven on rough terrain. The Discovery's handling does a marvelous job of calming and reassuring you. Long time Discovery owners will be a little disappointed by the 2018 facelift which is evidently catering to those that seldom leave the city.
Land Rover have managed to shave off 200kg from the Discovery's weight. This is somewhat short of the 376kg they claimed they were going to reduce it by.
