Audi has shed up to 120kg on the A4 (trim dependent) by changing to the MLB Evo platform. Audi has made other weight saving efforts from wiring to seats to suspension to steering. All this weight saving has put the entry level A4 at a respectable 1.32 tonnes. The interior is sparse but feels decidedly upmarket and Audi's Virtual Cockpit option removes the analog gauges in favour of a gorgeous high resolution screen.
All models come standard with xenon headlights, an acoustic glazed windscreen, cruise control, 17in alloy wheels, parking sensors, keyless ignition and various semi-autonomous braking systems. You'll also enjoy Audi's MMI infotainment system complete with smartphone integration, bluetooth and USB connectivity, DAB radio and a 7.0in colour display.
The A4 is a mix of class and technological savviness. Audi seem to have a winning formula which customers are drawn to and the A4 is no different. This tech-laden Audi certainly ticks a lot of boxes for prospective customers.
Audi A4 Insurance
At a retail price just short of R500 000, the A4's total body parts replacement cost would come to 31% of its value. This is higher than the parts cost of its rivals, but considering the retail price is R50 000 to R150 000 cheaper than the Jaguar XE, BMW 320i and Mercedes C200 it'll be cheaper to insure.
