Momentum aims for safer driving with Safe Dayz

South Africa’s roads are far from the safest in the world. We have cars being sold to the public which are considered unsafe by the rest of the world. Momentum recognises the roads are dangerous and has launched Safe Dayz, a telematics offering aimed at improving road safety by incentivising drivers with cheaper premiums if they drive safely.

Chief Commercial Officer for Momentum Insurance, Etienne du Toit says “The burden that road safety places on individuals, communities, businesses and the government is a major cause for concern, particularly when taking financial wellness into consideration. Safe Dayz is designed to improve the behaviour of road users and reward short-term insurance clients with cash every year, even if they claim.”

“Safe Dayz not only encourages the driver to be more cautious on the road, but also gives the passenger persuasive power to influence the behaviour of the motorist, which is essential for public transport users, who are not always in control of drivers’ behaviour”

If you’re interested in cheaper car insurance, then opting for telematics is a good option and you’ll be helping make South Africa’s roads a safer place to drive.
